As revealed, sacrificing his humanity to stop Shikoutazer, Tatsumi was being consumed by Tyrant as it fuses onto its host to regain its original form. Once the transformation is complete, Tatsumi asks Akame to mercy kill him before his mind is consumed by the Tyrant. In the anime series Tatsumi dies after defeating Shikoutazer. When a gang related to the boyfriend seeks to avenge her, killing her parents in the process, she easily murders them. Eventually, she joins the Revolutionary Army and later, Night Raid. Despite being an experienced assassin, she does not have regular duties at Night Raid as she tends to be air- headed and clumsy at cooking and cleaning. Her final action was using her trump card which releases a blinding light. This allows Mine to flee as she is eaten by Magical Beast Transformation: Hekatonkheires. Several years later, when Najenda defects from the Army to start Night Raid, Lubbock fakes his death.

After ambushing and killing Bols, she tries to kill Kurome in the same way, but it fails as Kurome survives the puncture inflicted by her needle and then she is killed by Kurome's last two corpse puppets. Her severed head is placed in the town square to hurt Night Raid's morale and the rest of her body devoured by Coro.
